Which operating system you run on your computer is irrelevant in making your decision. This means that if you are running Windows95/98/2000/XP or Macintosh on your computer, you can still choose Unix/Linux .
Is there a difference in speed between Linux and Windows ?
No, there is no difference in terms of speed between the two platforms.
Does Dimensions Software offer Microsoft Access, ASP, JSP and MSSQL ?
Yes. These features are on our Windows 2003 hosting packages.
What kind of connection does Dimensions Software have to the Internet backbone ?
Dimensions Software connects to the Internet backbone through multiple OC48 lines. Our connection to the Internet backbone is the fastest and most reliable available.
Does Dimensions Software provide web designing?

Is there a price difference between the two options?
Yes. Here Unix/Linux holds a slight edge due to the fact that the most of the software licenses are free and that it’s easier to maintain Unix/Linux servers than Windows2003 servers for the same level of reliability and performance. You will see that our hosting prices reflect this.
Unless you specifically plan to use Windows2000 platform specific features (see below), it probably makes sense to choose the Unix/Linux platform.
